Running

Ah. I used to be a runner. I ran a lot. Seven days a week. Long runs once a week. I enjoyed it. A lot and then college, marriage, a baby. Life got in the way. But now I have nothing but time, and a desire to do something for myself. We as moms, need mom time, even if that means pushing a baby in a stroller.(but this momma's baby is quiet because he is outside!) anyways. Every year my family runs the cotton row 5k on memorial day. We have been doing it for six years. These past few years I barely jog any of it. But not this year :) I am starting the couch to 5k program. Exactly two months is the 5k and I hope to be able to jog the whole thing. Now, I know I won't be able to keep up with my super fast husband, (I only made him run with me one time, he was super bored and it was annoying, so now I let him do his own thing. Like run six minute miles. Crazy I know) anyways, here is the program. http://www.coolrunning.com/engine/2/2_3/181.shtml There is even an app for that. So here it goes. I start today. I will update you on the progress if I make it through.. Ps- at one point, way back in the day, I ran 11.5 miles.

  1. Good for you! I re-start jogging every couple months, it gets boring and i dwindle from doing it. I wish I loved it like some people (Kris). I started doing something like this a couple weeks ago, i'm looking forward to see if it helps me (and you) fall in love with running, good luck!
