Independence...

We have hit a new stage in our house. This stage of independence. We have been treading in and out of it for a few months now. But I think we are finally waist deep and no looking back. Sigh. It's a struggle, but exciting all at once. This means Wesley is learning, developing, growing into a young man. But this also means I don't have my baby who wants to cuddle every time he cries or share his snacks or even get help of something. And to add the independence, he has got two pretty hard headed parents, which makes for an especially hard headed child. Patience, it takes a lot of patience. I have heard plenty of no! And mine! lately. And I keep thinking in my head... This too shall pass... And one day I will miss it way to much. So I need to enjoy his ride of motherhood. Right?

  1. Haha too true! Today Kenley grabbed my fork and told me very sternly "Mine!" while giving me "that look". I would have been frustrated if it didn't make me laugh so hard! These kids crack me up!
